I´m Dominican, born and raised, in a family of 7 siblings and limited funds. How I started kiting was a lucky break for me. When I was 14 years old I was hanging out at the beach with my friend Jan Marcos Riveras and we saw this guy on his way to a kiting competition. We went to check it out and we offered to help the guy out with his equipment.I guess we seemed eager, because after the competition the guy approached us, asking if we were interested in learning how to kite. And of course, we said yes.He had a spare kite he did not use which he gave us to share.Safe to say; we haven’t stopped kiting since.
